Shadow Man

A woman named Polly Gear snapped this picture* at the West Virginia Penitentiary in Moundsville, West Virginia.  According to Polly, she went to investigate a noise out in a hallway and saw a black human form walking down the hallway and looking out the windows.

The Shadow Man reacted to Mrs. Gear and the digital camera that she was looking through to get a closer look.  According to her account, he ducked into a door but seemed to be coaxed out by the tune of her camera turning on and she snapped one picture of the form.

Although the picture was debunked by TAPS on the Sci-Fi Channel series Ghosthunters (saying that it as actually just a real shadow), supporters of the picture maintain that TAPS took their duplicate photo they used to prove it was not real from a distance of ten feet when the original uncropped photograph as seen to the left was taken from a distance of at least one hundred feet thus debunking the debunkers.

Another piece of evidence that believers in the Shadow Man have put foreword in defending this picture's authenticity is that the Shadow Man appears to be standing behind the white pipe to his left... a feat impossible for a real shadow.

So, is the Shadow Man a real specter or is he just as his name suggests... a shadow?  Believers in the paranormal are already taking sides. Which do you stand with?
