The Mangalica pig looks as though someone bred a sheep with a hog.  Found primarily in Hungary and Spain, these usual animals were on the brink of extinction 20 years ago when the population dwindled to 198 known specimens.  Now, there are over 20,000 living in the world.

If you're wondering what a ham from one of these pigs tastes like, you can buy one for supper for the low price of only 500 dollars for a nine pound ham.
