GLO-DOG

Say hello to Ruppy, a seventeen month-old beagle who has been clones and genetically altered to carry fluorescent genes. Scientists at Seoul National University took fluorescent protein, much like that produced by some sea anemones, and inserted it into the cell of a beagle.  Ruppy's offspring will also carry the gene.

What does this gene do?

Why, it makes them glow in the dark!
